I was lucky enough to be one of the small amount of the people that has already seen Ironman, slated to come out this Friday.
One of my buddies got lucky and scored some preview tickets for a preview screening of Ironman, starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Terrence Howard, and Jeff Bridges. (Thanks Bob!)
First of all, since I am already accustomed to the quality that Marvel demands of the films that portray its characters, I did have a pretty high level of expectation walking in to the film. Let me be the first to tell you - I was blown away.
Typically, I walk into a film and get exactly what I expected out of it. Not so with Ironman. I walked out with a higher appreciation of not only Robert Downey, Jr., but also the Director - Jon Favreau.
Kudos to all who made this film possible. If I was a film critic, (and I am a closet critic) I would give this film 4 out of 5 stars. Errr.. Closets! Hehehe...
This is most certainly a theater movie. Even if you are not a typical super hero fan, there is a little bit for everyone in this movie - and they did it without going overboard. Remember the Episode I fiasco with Jar-Jar Binks?!
